DIY Wooden Pom Pom Coasters
Who doesn't love some good pom-pom action? Pom-pom fringe add a bit of fun to any project. This is a super simple project using the same techniques and similar materials as my recent tutorial for 5 Minute DIY Keychains. Let's get started!

Supplies: Wooden circles (two different sizes, like here and here) / Acrylic paint / Paintbrush / pom-pom fringe (which you can also find in the trimmings/fabric section at craft stores) / Glue gun or E6000 / Mod Podge
Step 1: Paint a design onto the smaller wooden circle and let dry.
Step 2: Paint a coat of Mod Podge onto the circle. Let dry and paint one more coat.
Step 3: Glue the pom-pom trim around the edge of the larger wooden circle.
Step 4: With a bit of extra glue, place the top painted circle over the bottom wooden circle. It's a pom-pom sandwich!
That's it! A really easy project. You could definitely get the kids involved in the painting part. Wouldn't this make a nice Mother's Day gift?
