Once I get my hot glue gun out, I can't stop gluing stuff together. My hot glue gun obsession is fairly new. I always thought of it as my grandmother's crafting tool because I feel like she had a glue gun in her hand 50% of the time I was around her as a kid. I guess that's part of the reason I used to avoid the glue gun - it felt old school. But the glue gun is so fun! You can affix just about anything to just about anything (really descriptive, huh?).
JoAnns has these flowers that are made out of a lightweight foam (I think). It's pretty cool, better than the traditional silky fabric. I used two of the foam leaves to create a heart shape and glued that to the bottom of a paper scrapbooking embellishment. I topped it off by glue the flower to the top of the paper lace-design. Wouldn't this be a cute gift topper or brooch?
