Mother's Day Cards & Card Design Template

As you know, I am a compulsive card maker. The only time I've bought cards was for wedding thank-yous. Even then, I designed the cards and had them printed. However, let it be noted: I greatly appreciate store bought cards! Anyway, I made Mother's Day cards this weekend.

Supplies: washi tape, paper by MME and Crate Paper and I can't remember who makes the embellishments

I usually lean towards keeping card designs simple and focusing on cool paper. However, I challenged myself this weekend because I made one more extravagant card and a pretty blingin' graduation card for my sister (I'll post that one later).
If you want to go with my usual minimalist theme, I've created a card template for you. I would love to see what you come up with using this template. And how creative you can get with it!
See how I stepped out of my box for this one? It's for my mom and I thought she would appreciate some extra snazz. I even layered flowers and added bling to the middle of them! What? I am the first to admit that the hand-drawn stems are looking a little weak. But life goes on anyway. :)
Supplies: flowers from the $1 section at Michaels, pearl stickers from the $1 at Michaels, delight stamp from JoAnns, jar stamp from Michaels, paper by Crate Paper
Have you made Mother's Day cards? If so, comment with the link to your masterpiece!

  1. Adorable ideas. Planning on getting all the stuff for my momma all together tomorrow. May just have to use one of your card ideas! :D
