Personalized Treat Bags

So my parents are coming to visit tomorrow! Woot! I decided to make them little treat bags with things they might need on their trip. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut this file, which is a bag shape.
I used the Designer Edition software to edit the bag a little. I personalized the boxes with text that says 'mom' and 'dad.'  This was a super easy project. You could add all kinds of personalizations with this software. You can tweak the size, the cut lines, the perforations, anything!

One of my favorite things about the Cameo is how awesome the fold lines turn out. It's always a perfect perforation and never cuts too much.
I used a Glue Dot runner because it is a pretty strong adhesive. Even when full, the boxes held together well. I wasn't loving how the words looked just cut out so I added some paper to show through. Love it!

I wanted to use tissue paper in the bags but it looked weird for some reason. So I punched holes in the top and tied it up with string. I added a bit of washi tape as well (wood grain tape & tape measure tape).
I know you want to see what's in them, right? Lotion and chapstick because it's Colorado and it's crazy dry here. Their fave candies (Dad- Andes, Mom - Tootsie Rolls), gum, wet wipes and contact solution for Mom.

These were so fun to make! I wouldn't mind making a lot of these for party favors.

P.S. I'm a Silhouette blogger affiliate. Guess what that means? I get to try out their products and you get a discount code! Yay! Here are the promotions for through March 8th.

(1)    The Silhouette CAMEO® plus the Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition Software for $269.99
(2)    The Silhouette Portrait™ plus the Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition Software for $179.99
(3)    The Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition Software, (if you already have the Cameo or Portrait) for $24.99

Just use the code LEMON when you checkout on Silhouette's website.  I'm super excited to try all the features on the Designer Edition software. I made some totally custom shapes and it was really fun. Has anyone used that software?

Purchasing links in this post may result in commission for my little blog.  I got to try the Designer Edition software for free but all opinions are 100% mine!

What fun little bags for your parents! I never thought of doing something like that for my mom but totally will next time she comes to visit.

I adore this idea. I always pull together a little guest basket for my mom when she comes to visit but I really love how you made a personalized treat bag.

My daughter lives in Colorado, I hope I get one of these on my next visit!
