DIY: Leather Confetti

Party time! You'll know you hosted the schmanciest party in town when someone says, "Yeah, she had leather confetti. It's always in the details, isn't it?" Haha! Okay, maybe leather confetti is not the fanciest but it is really cute and a good alternative to the regular throw-it-in-the-trash-the-moment-the-party-is-over confetti.

It is also absurdly easy to make. And you can use it for multiple parties - making it an economical solution, too! Click 'Read more' to see just how easy this project is!

So here is the secret to easy and inexpensive leather confetti. Start thrifting those leather braided belts from the 90s. And then you just chop, chop the entire belt up! Easy-peezy.
If you need a little bling in your confetti, you can add some tinsel glitter (or regular glitter).
So there you have it. Leather confetti, with or without glitter.
What do you think? Do like it plain or with a little bling? You know what I'm dying to do? Spray paint  some of these belts in gold and then create fancy leather confetti!
Guess what? I used a little bit of this belt to make a bracelet (and still had plenty for confetti!). Check out my bracelet DIY over at Henry Happened.

  1. What a neat idea! I think I would do it sans glitter just to cut down on mess :) haha...I love the idea of spray painting it gold though!
