Autumn Explorations: Week One

Remember my series 'Spring Bike Ride,' where I documented my bike rides (and neighborhood walks)? I've decided to continue doing that this Fall because I LOVE fall weather. Since I ended up taking photos on bike rides, walks, jogs, and car rides - I decided to name this series, "Autumn Explorations." Cause who knows where I'll end up exploring?
My husband is recovering from a minor medical issue so we aren't riding bikes a whole lot yet. We took a leisurely walk along the creek near our home. I was amazed at the fall foliage that is already out! It is my favorite time of the year - I love the color palette and the crisp, cool air. Things are cooling down around here, we've had some Autumn weather. But we still have hot days, too.

I love the fluffy tail plants (very official name, huh) - it is a stately plant. And I love the fall colors - ochre, wheat, brown...

Have you seen any signs of Autumn in your area?

  1. biking is such a great way to spend time with your family! and this series is a very interesting project, can't wait for more!

  2. These are such serene photos. Definitely makes me feel excited for the fall season.
Sorry to hear your hubby had a minor medical issue though! But, at least it was MINOR and that he is on the mend! =)

  3. Love the color palette in these photos - can't wait to see where else you explore to!

  4. You take such lovely pictures. What kind of camera do you use?
