Summer Plans & DIYs

Full-fledged summer is here. And we're vacationing in a couple of weeks! Woo-hoo! We're going to Disney World (I've never been). Here's the type of person I am - I did not make any decisions about booking reservations for food, parks or a hotel. I did not purchase our airfare. No. What have I been doing?

I have been obsessing for months about what purse I should buy specifically to carry in the theme parks. I have also been ogling shoes like crazy- what can I wear all day walking in parks and in water rides and to the pool?! (Don't worry, I just found the perfect pair). This past weekend I bought travel sized things (ahem, sunscreen & lotions) that we might not really need but I just had to have. And I am all, "I'll probably need five bathing suits, right?"

Please tell me I'm not the only one- a frivolous vacay planner dreamer. I spend too much time thinking of fun things I should buy or make (that tote above!). If I let my self get real for a second I imagine myself melting from Florida's humidity. I hope we spend half our time in the pool. But I only have a cute one piece swimsuit and then a bunch of mismatched bikini tops and bottoms. Oh, the horror!

I'm drooling all over my keyboard about that swimsuit (Control Max Halter). I am really into one pieces these days and I love the ruching on that one. This is basically my idea of a perfect swimming/water ride outfit. It's casual and water appropriate but still looks good enough to pop in a restaurant for lunch.

This Old Navy campaign came just in time - we were already planning to go to Old Navy this weekend for my husband (he's the type of guy that finds a pair of pants he likes and just wants multiples of that same pant). Of course, I will probably find myself meandering to the women's side after seeing that ruched suit. ;)

Thank you again to Old Navy for sponsoring my post. I was compensated for this post as a member of Clever Girls Collective, but the content is 100% my own because I love my blog too much not to be honest! I'm already an Old Navy shopper. :)

  1. That swimsuit is adorable :D

  2. Yes, the swimsuit is adorable and you will need sunscreen!! It is quite warm already here in Florida (I live in Orlando) so pack appropriately and enjoy your trip!!!

  3. Really like that one-piece! I'm all about swim attire being "decent" around to walk around everywhere in that's a great cut/color. Sounds like you have a fun trip in store & don't forget a jumbo sized sunblock actually : )
