DIY: Glitter Packaging

I just found a super awesome craft product.
It's called Trim Accents and it's from Die Cuts With a View (DCWV).
Unfortunately, I can't find any links to them online!
Not on DCWV's site or Amazon or even Michaels, where I bought it. Crazy.
You can find them in the vinyl decal section at JoAnn's and Michaels.
It's about $7 a roll (20ft, I think?). But I used a 40% off coupon.
I picked the gold glitter tape but there are other glitters and modern patterns. Lots of choices.
And they even make paper stacks that coordinate with some tapes,
if you want to take your gift wrapping to the next level.
It's adhesive but removable decorative tape (quality finish, I might add!).

It seems it was intended to use as home decor trim or shelf lining, etc.
But you can see how perfect it is for packaging! You can use your craft punches to make chic tags that stick right on your package. Or just use it as a ribbon strip. Or cut banners to spice up your cupcakes. There are a million ways to use this product. I love it.

Anybody else get [too] excited about new craft or office supplies?

  1. Haha, I get so excited over good craft store finds and my sweet husband always pretends to be interested even though he really doesn't care :)
Love this idea too! I'll have to look for this in the craft store

  2. Aw, Anahi, such a sweet husband! My husband does that too but so do I! I watch his video game replays and act super interested. ;)

  3. I love both of your ideas! I bought a couple rolls last month, and I'm in love with this stuff! I hate to see that 3 months later (after your post) there are still NO links to these on the web! (You're the best I've found!) I'm planning to make something for my sister but I want her to pick the pattern- so frustrating-- get with in DCWV/Michael's!

  4. I just stumbled across this tape at Michaels and there still is no link to it on the web. Maybe it didn't sell but it works so well in scrapbooking/die cutting. The red makes perfect Mickey Mouse pants.
